Situated in the whitewashed Andalucian town of San Roque, Casa Julio Verne is a boutique guesthouse offering a blend of stylish and contemporary accommodation with traditional Spanish trimmings. A lovingly restored townhouse that affords breathtaking views from its roof terrace; this is a place to put your feet up and make yourself at home.

Help yourself to a tipple from the bar and relax in the lounge where you can listen to music, watch a film or curl up with a book. If you can’t bear to lose contact with the outside world make use of the internet room, but you may well prefer to getaway from it all and soak up the views of Morocco and Gibraltar from the roof terrace.

All of the rooms are elegantly refurbished, spacious doubles or twins with ensuite bathrooms. The enormous Nemo Suite is a favourite with their guests, its high-beamed ceilings, log-burning stove, sitting room and double Jacuzzi providing a truly lavish place to stay. The Lidenbrock Suite opens out onto the central courtyard, with a private sitting room that can be used as a second bedroom. Finally the traditional, spacious Nautilus room has beamed ceilings and an open fire. Enjoy personal touches including high-quality linen and fluffy bathrobes, as well as hairdryers and tea/coffee making facilities.

About Your Hosts

Rose is English and Sagi is Israeli and they met whilst working in the airline industry. Both are well travelled and their house is filled with personal belongings from all over the world. Having spent many years living in 5 Star chain hotels they wanted to create a small personal B&B with plenty of character and a homely feel. They know and love this area of Andalucia and can recommend many walks, activities and hidden treasures to their guests, often over a glass of Rioja on the terrace.

Take a fishing, sailing or dolphin-watching trip.
Visit the huge white stretch of sand at the windsurfing mecca of Tarifa.
Head to the famous golf courses and polo fields of Sotogrande.
Explore the white villages of Andalucia, or the spectacular cities of Jerez and Seville.
